The meticulously detailed Society for the Diffusion of Useful Knowledge plan of Antwerp, Belgium, with major thoroughfares and public places and buildings named. The vignette along the top of the plan is a view of the city center from the road to Mechlin (Mechelen), Brussels and Louvin (Louvain). The note on the lower left corner gives English translations of French geographic terms. The inset at right is a "Plan of the Scheldt & the Forts from Antwerp to Lillo." Along the bottom are elevation drawings of 11 of the city's principal buildings.
