Two delightful Buenos Aires vignettes on a single sheet from d'Orbigny's Voyage Pittoresque dans les deux Ameriques. The upper image if of the city's church of Santo Domingo, the burial site of Manuel Belgrano, one of the heroes of Argentina's independence struggle. Depicted below are Buenos Aires ladies (porteñas) dressed for a promenade, for a ball, and more somberly, for church.
