The rare (not in Sabin) first Hungarian edition of Campe's history of the Discovery of America, in three parts devoted to Columbus, Cortes, and Pizarro. The volume contains three excellently preserved, Hungarian-language folding maps of the West Indies, Mexico (showing California as a peninsula and including a reference to "Tecas"), and South America. A scarce and fascinating addition to a Discovery Era or Early Americas collection.
