A marvelously detailed plan of Cartagena and its suburbs, with a letter and number key identifying 52 major monuments and fortresses of this critically important defender of the Spanish Main and meeting point of treasure galleons. A note in the lovely rococo-style cartouche states that the map was drawn up (by Antonio de Ulloa) on orders of the king in 1735.
