This highly detailed and beautifully colored map of Biblical geography between the Garden of Eden (which is shown straddling the confluence of the Tigris and Euphrates Rivers) and the land of Canaan features the Tower of Babel, the cities of Ur and Nineveh, and the route between Ur and Canaan. Surrounding the map are a scrollwork title cartouche and five Biblical scenes: Adam naming the animals, the creation of Eve, the tempation of Eve, the expulsion from the Garden of Eden, and Noah's ark. A vignette in the Mediterranean depicts Jonah's encounter with the whale.
