The tombs of Sarbout el Cadem (Serabit al-Khadim) in the Sinai Peninsula are the focal point of this evocative view from Laborde's Voyage de l'Arabie Pétrée. It was in the vicinity of these tombs that Laborde's expedition found turquoise in great abundance.
