The later Lotter edition of Seutter's superbly detailed map of Sicily, divided into three "vals" (administrative districts), and with Mt. Etna in full eruption. The decorative title cartouche features Ceres or Abundance, Bacchus, and Neptune accepting the bounty of the seas. At the lower left corner is an inset map of Malta and Gozo, and on the lower right, a key in French and Latin to the political, military, and topographic features of Sicily. Item Number: RS2307
