Carte Reduite de l'Isle de la Jamaique

Bellin's monumental chart of Jamaica from the influential French chart book, Hydrographie Francoise. The map shows the island divided into parishes, with many place names (especially along the coasts), good topographical detail and many depth soundings. It includes the southern coast of Cuba and the western tip of Hispaniola (Haity), a dramatic compass star in the very center of the sheet and a superb rococo style title cartouche.
