The Panama and New Granada (Colombia) map from the great Blaeu Atlas is a splendid example of Dutch Golden Age cartography and map engraving. The topographical detail is superb, with the Andes fairly leaping off the page, while beautifully colored and designed cartouches and compass roses add to the map's decorative appeal. Latin text on verso.
