A later Dutch edition of Herrera's 1601 map of the "Audiencia" of Quito, comprising present-day Ecuador and parts of Colombia and Peru. Herrera was the official historian to the Spanish Crown. The Audiencia was the Spanish colonial political division immediately below the Vice-Royalty. Item Number: G751
