An important and scarce view of the taking of the Spanish silver fleet by Dutch naval forces in Matanzas Bay, Cuba. The main battle scene is flanked by portraits of the Dutch commanders Piet Heyn and Hendrick Lonq, while an inset map of Cuba and Jamaica occupies the lower left corner. While designed for (and keyed to) a broadside, this examplar was printed on a sheet without text.
