1) Carte de la Coste occidentale d'Afrique depuis le Cap Blanc jusqu'a Tanit 2) Carte des Pays Voisins des Riv de Sanagra et Gambra

Two highly detailed maps of the coast of Western Africa from Mauritania to Guinea on the same composite page from the atlas volume of Prévost d'Exiles' collection of travel narratives, Histoire Générale des Voyages. The chart on the left is of the Bay of Arguin ("Golphe ou Baye d'Arguim") and the Mauritanian coast from Cap Blanc (the present-day Ras Nouadhibou) to Cape Mirik and Tanit. The map on the right is of the lands along the Sanagra (Senegal) and Gambra (Gambia) Rivers, extending from Cape Mirik in Mauritania to Cape Verga in what is now Guinea. Featured in between are the lands of the Jalofs and the Mandingos as well as Cape Verd, today's Dakar, and the French slave-trading site of Goree Island.
