Two Fools

A superb reverse impression of the famous Two Fools engraving by Sebald Beham, one of the most important (and prolific) of the German Renaissance "Little Masters" printmakers, so called for the tiny size and highly detailed quality of their prints. An allegory of the folly of love, this engraving depicts a pair of male and female fools holding sexually suggestive accoutrements.
